Before i get straight to the point, PLEASE CLICK "DOWNLOAD" TO VIEW THE FULL PICTURE. It's never fun to find just a thumbnail for a normally-viewed picture. :C

I chose to make a pixel pic because my god, i haven't done one in a hundred years. I also did it using this medium because i'm under the impression that something that's not commonly done -- at least to me, anyway -- might get the attention of the judges. But i can't be pessimistic nor optimistic, so whatever goes, goes!

I'm not exactly sure why i chose an aluminium beverage can, because i could try out many others. When i was thinking of an inanimate object for me to anthropomorphize, the can of coke was the first thing to come to me, so i was like "okay, can it is". Maybe there was some other reason, but i guess i didn't pick it up before i started drawing.

The "skinjob" for this guy was originally going to be red and white, but i changed my mind and made it blue and white instead. It's pretty much based on Pocari Sweat, so credits to them for making my struggle in originality a smidge bit harder. D:

Bit of a shame that i can't make Can Man look a lot more surreal like i'd always do, but this is for trying to make him look more human than bio-mechanical, just so i can avoid an inevitable controversy about the fine line between anthro and mecha. But whether or not this was a mistake in my part, i leave that up to the viewers.

*EDIT* Due to lack of advance-planning, sloth, circumstantial issues, or all of the above, it saddens me to say that i won't be able to produce another submission for this contest. So at the very least, i will continue on with whatever crazy and obscure idea i will be concocting, while i pray that in a few more years, Skifi or someone else will host another contest such as this one, because i am thankful that this contest has given me a challenge.
